MRI Safety for MRI Professionals
This course provides an overview of MRI safety, including basic MRI physics, potential hazards and risks, patient screening and positioning, risk reduction strategies, and appropriate response to adverse events.
This course offers 2.50 Hours of ASRT-Approved Credits.
Course Format: This course consists of Lecture Slides, 2 Lectures, and 1 Quiz. Once you have completed the Lectures and Quiz, you will be able to print your Certificate of Completion.

Course Objectives: After this course, you will be able to:
• Understand basic MRI physics and principles
• Recognize potential hazards and risks in the MRI environment
• Identify ways to minimize risks in the MRI environment
• Properly screen and position patients before starting MRI procedures
• Understand how to safely respond to any adverse event in the MRI environment
Grading: Quizzes are graded automatically immediately after submission. You will be given 3 attempts to successfully pass the quiz. A passing score is 75%.
